Letter from Milwaukee County Department of Aging

December 21, 2018

Dear Senior Center and Senior Dining members,

As you may be aware, Milwaukee County has made a difficult, but necessary choice to break ties with a longtime partner agency, affecting a number of county-owned Senior Centers and Senior Dining sites. We remain committed to providing the same valuable services that you have come to expect at these locations, and we are working quickly to minimize the impact on the services you receive as we make this transition.

Effective January 2, our plan is that Serving Older Adults of Southeastern Wisconsin will be managing the five county-owned Senior Centers, as well as the Senior Dining sites within these centers (Clinton Rose, Kelly, McGovern, Washington, and Wilson.) The other 13 Senior Dining sites will also be open on January 2, serving lunch at their normal times. We are striving for a seamless transition.

Should you have any questions or concerns about this change, you are welcome to contact our Director of Administration, Jon Janowski, at

(414) 289-6073 or Jonathan.janowski@milwaukeecountywi.gov .

Our goal continues to be providing you with uninterrupted, high-quality services. The Milwaukee County Department on Aging remains dedicated to meeting the needs of older adults and connecting them to meaningful and empowering resources in our community. We look forward to continuing to serve you in the new year.

Sincerely,

Holly Davis Executive Director
